From a young age, Jorge’s passion for travel and cultural discovery was evident. This zeal led him to a career shift from engineering to expedition guiding. His pivotal solo journey through South America ignited his adventurous spirit, prompting him to join Ponant Yachts Cruises and Expeditions in 2012. 

Jorge has since become an integral part of Ponant’s Expedition Team, delivering remarkable experiences to guests in some of the planet’s most remote and stunning locations as Naturalist and Expedition Leader. His guiding expertise spans from the icy realms of polar regions to the lush tropical paradises,including exhilarating activities like scuba diving and hiking the Andes. His deep knowledge of the outdoors, science, and history enriches each voyage, making each trip unforgettable. 

Relocating to Australia in 2017, Jorge now serves as the Expedition Operations Manager for Asia Pacific. His role involves orchestrating exceptional itineraries and ensuring seamless operations, leveraging his engineering background and extensive field experience.
