It’s a big wide world so we’ve put together a convenient list of our favourite travel resources, guides, advice pages, and informative sites. They’ll all in one place here so no matter where you are, you only need to remember one website – Geelong Travel!
Location and translation
Maps.me – Download the maps for the country you’re visiting before you leave and then you won’t need an internet connection to view then when you arrive. Pop a marker where you’re staying and it shows nearby restaurants, shops and bars.
Google Maps – The best mapping available online however it requires you to be connected to the internet when in use. This can be problematic for people that haven’t setup their phones to work overseas, you also risk large download fees if your phone does connect via a roaming feature that your Australian operator offers.
Google Translate – Helps you translate text or speech from English to all major languages
